E-Learning First Aid

Our aim through this First Aid at Work course is to provide delegates with the required skills and abilities to become a life saver, enabling them to promptly, safely and effectively administer first aid to a casualty in the workplace.

 

This course will enable delegates to provide basic life support procedures, prioritise conditions in accordance with their severity and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of injuries and illnesses.

Audience:
This course is designed for anyone wanting to become an accredited First Aider within the workplace. The course is particularly appropriate to companies where HSE guidelines recommend a trained first aider qualified in First Aid at Work.

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor injuries
  • Choking
  • Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
  • Burns and scalds
  • Eye injuries
  • Heart attack
  • Epilepsy
  • AED Training
  • Nuco
  • FAA (First Aid Awards)
  • OfQual
HSE certified Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Certificate, valid for 3 years. However, both the HSE and Be Safe Northwest Ltd recommend refreshing your skills every 12 months.
Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

 

The candidate must be able to carry out CPR on the floor without assistance lowering to the ground

This course is £65+VAT per person (includes lunch and certificates)
